Hi all.  I have decided to take on a good cause for the month of November.  I am normally clean shaven (with the exception of a soul patch that I have sported for years as a form of admiration and respect for the great Frank Zappa).  However, this month I am growing a mustache for an important purpose – to raise funds to aid in Prostate Cancer research.

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men with 25,500 diagnosed and 4,400 dying from the disease each year. I feel that if I can help in any way by growing a bit of facial hair and reach out for donations then so beit.

The cause is called Movember. I have a personal page where you can track my progress and help if at all possible. If you can, I would appreciate donations to help the cause.  If you cannot donate, that is fine as well. All I ask is for your support during this time (hey – for a guy who shaves regularly I think an itchy face is definitely something in need of your support).
