Since I was a young boy I had my doubts concerning religion and the supposed belief in a sky-god. When I reached my mid-teens I finally decided to extinguish my uneasy feelings and thoughts when it came to determining what I believed in. I struggled for a long time with belief and finally accepted what was in front of me my entire life – the fact that there is no supreme being who created me and the universe and everything in between.
I no longer consider that a sky-god might exist or that the mythical places of heaven and hell exist – I am one hundred percent Atheist and am proud of it. I am now comfortable with my personal belief system (that’s right people – belief or non-belief is personal. Killing one another over differences in belief or insulting another person because he or she believes in the “wrong” god or no god at all is childish and ignorant).
That’s it for now. There will definitely be more to follow, but for now I’ll leave you with a brief brain dump before I head out to see what San Antonio has to offer. I have one day to check it out – and it happens to be Fiesta. Maybe I’ll have a little fun…
Chris.
